Grave Angel
Hello, I know I am supposed to be having a break but I am going away for a week today, so I cut short my holiday from posting here. I leave you with a selection of pictures I have been working on during my break.
Unrest
Eldoret, Kenya
This piece is painted in gentle pastel colours - the complete opposite of the violence. The three matches represent the torching of the church in Eldoret where people were sheltering and also could be stick people. They are covered by the paint to symbolise that we all return to dust.
Baghdad, Iraq
Nails can be used to build or to destroy.
Helmand Province, Afghanistan
The poppy is for remembrance and also stands for the problem of the opium poppies which grow in this area.
